check out Scott Hobbs Bourne’s novel launching tonight in London, he won’t blog about it so I will… He’s charmingly real and interesting. Look for his debut from 1980 editions. We both hold strong to real, physical books and creating them.

The most real human being I have ever crossed paths with.

Eat, Frey, Love: Frey House by Albert Frey-

Originally designed in 1940, Frey House was one of the first modern buildings, in what became the mid-century mecca, Palm Springs. Frey, a protoge of Le Corbusier, was instrumental in turning Palm Springs in to the modernist haven it is today. These pictures taken by Julius Shulman, show Frey House in its latter incarnation after re-modelling and expansion in 1953. Originally it was conceived as just one open plan space for living and sleeping, with a separate bathroom and kitchen, as well as a car port. The pool was added slightly later and then in 1953 a large living room was added, turning the original living space in to a dining area and a futuristic, metal clad, port holed, second floor was added as a bedroom.
